But, as a parent the self-help advice may not be ideal.
- I want to eat healthier, but I can't throw away all this junk food because that's what the kids eat after school.
- Time to exercise everyday? Seriously? I barely have enough time rushing from one activity to the next.
- My coworkers that don't have kids have time to work later and progress faster.
Not to mention, all of the self-help books rarely discuss how their tactics apply for parents. If they do mention parenting, it's typically a very short section.
On the other hand, there's more books on parenting than you could read in 7 lifetimes. But, I'm not interested in parenting advice. I know how I want to raise my children.
What I want is to learn how other parents survive and thrive.
I have a never-ending list of questions for a long list of outstanding parents. Rather than waiting for a show to appear on this topic, I'm diving in and connecting with parents that inspire me and experts that have advice to share.
Thanks for joining me on this journey to learn how to be my best self as well as the best father I can be!
